THAPROBANE

Spring/Summer 26'

This collection explores the modernization of Sri Lankan ethnic wear through a contemporary luxury fashion perspective. Inspired by the elegance, strength, and natural beauty of Sri Lankan women, the collection combines traditional cultural elements with modern silhouettes, innovative draping techniques, and contemporary tailoring.

Drawing inspiration from Sri Lanka's rich heritage, traditional craftsmanship, and historical art forms, the collection reinterprets ethnic wear for the modern woman while preserving its cultural identity. The designs celebrate femininity, confidence, and individuality through sculptural forms, body-conscious silhouettes, and carefully placed heritage-inspired motifs.

COLLECTIONS

Contemporary Womenswear Collection

This collection was developed for AZALI, a contemporary womenswear brand, as part of an international client collaboration. The project focused on creating elevated ready-to-wear pieces that combine modern tailoring with sophisticated femininity, resulting in a collection that feels both timeless and fashion-forward.

The designs feature architectural silhouettes, statement outerwear, elegant evening dresses, and refined occasionwear enhanced with luxurious fabrics, bold prints, and carefully considered details. Each garment was created to reflect AZALI's modern aesthetic while maintaining commercial appeal and wearability.

My role covered the complete design and product development process, from concept creation through to production-ready deliverables. Working closely with the client and manufacturing partners, I ensured that every design aligned with the brand vision while meeting quality and production requirements.

Womenswear Collection

Client Project | Fashion Design & Collection Development

Designed an exclusive womenswear collection for LANI LOU, combining contemporary elegance with timeless femininity. The project focused on occasionwear featuring structured silhouettes, lace detailing, refined draping, and premium finishes. From concept development to final design presentation, I collaborated closely with the client to create a collection that aligned with their brand identity and target market.

TECHNICAL DRAWINGS & GARMENT DEVELOPMENT

These technical drawings demonstrate my ability to translate creative concepts into clear, production-ready specifications. Developed using industry-standard technical illustration methods, each flat sketch accurately communicates garment construction, proportions, design details, trims, and silhouette development. The drawings serve as a critical link between design and manufacturing, ensuring consistency throughout the sampling and production process. This work reflects my understanding of technical design, product development, and the practical requirements needed to transform fashion concepts into commercially viable products.
