Spring/Summer 26'

This collection explores the modernization of Sri Lankan ethnic wear through a contemporary luxury fashion perspective. Inspired by the elegance, strength, and natural beauty of Sri Lankan women, the collection combines traditional cultural elements with modern silhouettes, innovative draping techniques, and contemporary tailoring.

Drawing inspiration from Sri Lanka's rich heritage, traditional craftsmanship, and historical art forms, the collection reinterprets ethnic wear for the modern woman while preserving its cultural identity. The designs celebrate femininity, confidence, and individuality through sculptural forms, body-conscious silhouettes, and carefully placed heritage-inspired motifs.

TECHNICAL DRAWINGS & GARMENT DEVELOPMENT

These technical drawings demonstrate my ability to translate creative concepts into clear, production-ready specifications. Developed using industry-standard technical illustration methods, each flat sketch accurately communicates garment construction, proportions, design details, trims, and silhouette development. The drawings serve as a critical link between design and manufacturing, ensuring consistency throughout the sampling and production process. This work reflects my understanding of technical design, product development, and the practical requirements needed to transform fashion concepts into commercially viable products.

SPRING / SUMMER 2026 TREND FORECAST

As part of my design process, I actively research global fashion forecasts, consumer behavior, color directions, lifestyle influences, and emerging market trends to develop future-focused fashion concepts. These trend boards represent my ability to analyze seasonal forecasts and translate them into cohesive collection stories through color palettes, silhouette development, material exploration, styling direction, and visual storytelling. Each concept demonstrates my skills in trend forecasting, creative research, mood board development, collection planning, and fashion communication, while balancing innovation with commercial relevance for the contemporary fashion market.

The Spring/Summer 2026 season embraces a new vision of luxury defined by emotion, escapism, and mindful sophistication. Consumers continue to seek products that balance beauty, comfort, and individuality, resulting in collections that celebrate soft femininity, refined minimalism, coastal influences, and modern digital expression.

Across the season, color stories evolve from warm neutrals and buttery pastels to tranquil ocean blues, botanical greens, and futuristic lavender tones. Silhouettes focus on fluid movement, effortless tailoring, relaxed resort dressing, and elevated everyday luxury. Natural textures, lightweight fabrics, artisanal details, and sustainable design principles remain key drivers, while technology-inspired aesthetics introduce a fresh perspective on contemporary fashion.

The trend directions presented within this portfolio explore diverse lifestyle narratives—from quiet luxury and Mediterranean escapes to botanical serenity and digital sophistication—each offering a unique interpretation of the modern woman's wardrobe.
